Sizing (Important!) Our shoes fit true to size with a slightly wider instep fit. If you have narrow feet or are between sizes, we recommend sizing down by half a size. Not sure? Exchanges are always free — so don't hesitate to try a size.
Update (Effective April 2026): We made a small adjustment to our shoe lasts, resulting in a slightly wider fit through the instep. If you're reading reviews from before this date, sizing advice may no longer apply — simply order your usual size, or size down if you have narrow feet.

The Huarache sandal is pre-Hispanic in origin and has since become a popular shoe in many countries. Each pair is equipped with a padded leather insole to cushion your feet on even the longest days. The natural tanned leather is breathable and keeps your feet cool on those sweltering days and form to your feet over time.

FIT:
As any long-lasting relationship, you and your huaraches will need some time to get to know each other. These shoes will get more comfortable with time and create a custom mold around your feet!
CARE:
As with any pair of leather shoes, in order to make sure your sandals last, we recommend using a leather protector.
We know you won't want to part with your Huarache sandals, but if you are going to get wet, keep them on dry land.

Nice leather, and quite comfortable!
Excellent quality! This is my second pair now and i got so much use out of the first.
Love these so much! I had to exchange my 6 for a 6.5. The exchange process was so easy thanks to Kevin who was so helpful! The 6.5 is perfect, feels great, and is super cute!
The sandals arrived late and it was very obvious that they had been worn. And they were dirty. When I contacted stori footwear, they offered no apology just sent a return label. Very disappointing.

This is Kevin. My wife and I run Stori Footwear. I am truly sorry about this experience. We do accept exchanges for different sizes, and your pair must have been tried on and worn outside before being returned. Our fulfillment partner is supposed to inspect all returned items before accepting them — this one was clearly missed, and we have addressed it with them directly.
I did respond to your email with an apology but it appears our email was blocked by your service provider, which unfortunately does happen but has since been addressed. That is not your fault and we take full responsibility for the experience you had.
We take customer service very seriously, as reflected in the rest of our reviews. Any customer who has an issue with their order is always welcome to a replacement or full refund — no hassle.

Ordered a size 8 and they sent a size 7.5- super uncomfortable assuming due to the fact that they sent the wrong size. Poor customer service as these were a gift and my husband gave them to me

The sizing is still way off. The website changed my mind of sizing down. I’ve emailed a week ago to return and haven’t heard back. Please let me return. They are far too big

Great shoes!! Purchased some huaraches from another company previously and they were stiff and low quality. These shoes are the exact opposite. I love them!
I think I should’ve gotten a half size bigger but they are so beautiful! I’m excited to break them in.

They are tight at first but mold with your feet and become super comfy. The plastic lining is hard to take off, but eventually it comes off.
I have had huarache sandals in the past and loved the style and comfort. Decided to upgrade to Stori for my next pair because the shoes are hand made which I thought would be worth the expense. Unfortunately, the sandals are impossible to wear if you are doing any amount of walking. After the 3rd wear, my feet are again covered in blisters and now, scars ( heals, tops of toes and side of foot). I followed the sizing advice online and sized down so the shoes could mold to my feet, but there is no way I can wear them any more. Very disappointed.
